INTERCOOLING

Cold rooms designed around how you operate

Intercooling designs, builds, and installs cold rooms around your product, storage volume, temperature, and workflow—from compact prefab rooms to industrial cold stores.

Cold storage types

Pick the room type that fits the job

Compare common room types and match them to your product, temperature, and operating process.

The right temperature depends on the product, packaging, incoming temperature, how long you store it, and how the room is used.

FAQ

Common questions

Short answers for operators. More detail on the FAQ page.

How much does a cold room cost?

Price depends on room dimensions, target temperature, product load, pull-down time, insulation, flooring, electrical work, equipment, install location, and optional monitoring. There is no single price that covers every project — request an assessment once real operating data is available.

Can I run on single-phase or three-phase power?

Some small rooms can run on single-phase power, but mid-to-large rooms and high loads usually need three-phase. Have an engineer check site supply before sizing equipment.

How long does installation take?

It depends on size and site readiness. Smaller prefab rooms may take days to a few weeks; industrial projects take longer because of structure, power, and commissioning.

What temperature should a cold room use?

It depends on the product — chill rooms often sit around 0–10°C, freezer rooms around −18 to −25°C, and blast freezers use much colder setpoints for rapid pull-down. Confirm against product and packaging requirements.

Should I choose PU or PIR panels?

Both are foam insulation options for cold-room walls. PIR often offers stronger thermal and fire performance in many applications; PU may suit certain budgets and duties. Thickness and type should match temperature and site standards.

What after-sales support do you provide?

Intercooling supports projects after handover with preventive maintenance (PM), repairs, and energy upgrades. Warranty scope and SLA follow each project contract.
