Why panel insulation matters
Cold-room walls must limit heat gain from outside and reduce moisture ingress. Thin insulation or poor joints increase plant duty and long-term electricity cost.
Uni Wall and PIR
Sandwich panels combine coated steel skins with a foam core for faster wall and ceiling assembly. Uni Wall is widely used in cold-room projects. PIR is often selected where thermal and fire performance need to be stronger than basic PU in a given application — thickness should match room temperature, site standards and budget.

- Joints and door gaskets must seal properly
- Floors and drains should suit the cleaning method
- Avoid unplanned wall penetrations without an insulation repair plan
